For parents

Teenagers are the point of the app.

TeenJobz is where a teen can find a local job and a neighbor can ask for help. There is no parent account. This page is what the product does today, so you can decide how involved you want to be.

How a job happens

A neighbor posts a gig: the kind of work, a price, how long it should take, and a short note. A teen browses those jobs on a map, sends a bid, and they message inside the app about that job. When the work is finished, each person can leave a rating. You can look at the map without an account. Bidding, posting, and messages require signing in.

What is already in the app

Messages about a job stay in the app. Profiles show ratings as a worker and, separately, ratings as the person who posted a job. Location is used for the map only if the phone allows it, and that can be turned off in settings. The account can be deleted from Profile. The privacy policy says the app is not intended for children under 13.

What the app does not do for you

There is no parent login and no parent dashboard. TeenJobz does not take payment in the app. The amount is the price on the post and the bid. Meeting in person, getting there, and paying are arranged by the people doing the job.

Where you come in

Because the app does not include a parent account, the decisions around a job sit with your family. That includes which jobs are a good fit, whether you want to be nearby, and how payment should work. A teen can delete the TeenJobz account from Profile. Privacy questions go to the contact listed in the privacy policy and the App Store listing.
